Memorial Day thoughts

Just reflecting back on the sacrifices of my family with the day. My father was a pilot in the Pacific venue, and my stepfather was in Europe for WWII. My mother stayed at home and used to save everything - and learned how to make the margarine yellow by stirring in the yellow dye. As a result, nothing was wasted - jars were rinsed with a little water to get out the last of the mustard or mayonnaise. The family garden was a way of life, a given.

Today, I think back on my family's sacrifices and feel blessed.

Make it a great day.

Wonderful thoughts, Mrs. Wright. My grandfather fought in WW2.

Oh, we saw you, your husband, and your children walking in the park on Sunday!
