We're up to something!

The 8th grade team was talking in one of our meetings last year (Dec.!) that we give attention to the students who have good grades and really don't do too much to notice or reward the "nice" kid. You know, the kid that may or may not have the best grades, but is always polite, respectful, etc. The kid who says hello or holds the door, or helps another. So... we decided that we would each select 2 students who are nice and do something nice for them. We already have a plan in mind and are now on the look out. If a student doesn't make it on the first round, we plan on doing it several times. We are alerting the students about this idea in our classes. It makes me feel good that we are doing something to reward the nice kid!
