Training Again!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to train Simon, a Dalmation, and Cooper, a Great Dane. Simon was supposed to be a biter - I was told that he had bitten human family members 5 times. He was not at all aggressive with me, in fact he was quite the sweetheart. Cooper, for all the size (120+ pounds) has socialization issues - very timid. Another sweetheart though. Even allowed kids to pet him.

You really need to take all opportunities to socialize your dog. Go to the farmers' markets, stand outside of grocery stores, go to the park - take every opportunity - and don't forget about Doggie Boot Camp every Sunday. Also this Sunday is a fair sponsored by the Greyhound rescue at Riverfront Park.
