Yep, I know, it sounds like a dorky thing; but here we are at the Philadelphia Fountain Pen Show in downtown. We arrived a little after noon yesterday and immediately met some of our pen friends.
Why fountain pens? Well, for one thing, they are a great writing instrument. If you claim that your penmanship is lacking, you should learn to write with a pen. In today's world, the concept of even how to hold a writing instrument is becoming a lost art. A fountain pen is rather demanding and requires you to hold it correctly in order to make it work. It also makes you write slower so that your penmanship improves - you aren't just slopping something down. And for some of us, it makes us more introspective.
