Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds Fair
Join the James V. Brown Library and CHIP
(Children's Health Insurance Program)
on Saturday, May 3rd from 10am to 2pm in
the Scottish Rite Little Theater for a
Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds Fair.
Families will enjoy craft and art activities, story times, music performances by Dr. Don Hess, balloon animals, a presentation by Zoo America and more. Backyard Bouncin' will have its bouncy house at the event. Lunch will be available from 11am to 1pm at no cost.
Representatives of local agencies, organizations and child cares including: Bostley's Preschool, Early Childhood Learning Center, Hope Preschool, First Nursery School, North Central Site Services, The Learning Center, The Parent-Child Home Program, WIC, BLaST I.U. 17, Family Support, PA Department of Health, Early Intervention, PA Dairy Association, and the Williamsport Garden Club will be present.
The library will be signing parents and children up for library cards and providing information about the June 7th summer reading kickoff. CHIP representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions. Additionally, families will be able to sign up for CHIP at the event.
The fair is free and no registration is required. Preschool children are the target audience but families with children of all ages are invited.

CHIP is Pennsylvania's program to provide health insurance to all uninsured children and teens up to age 19 who are not eligible for or enrolled in Medical Assistance.
"Cover All Kids" week (April 28th through May 3rd) is designed to publicize the expansion of the CHIP program.
Families can learn more about CHIP and sign up for CHIP at the Lycoming County Library System's E-Branch
