If you remember the song, feel free to have it playing in the background of your mind!
Okay, I admit that I live in the midst of the woods, but these are rare even by my standards for a 24 hour period.
First, the doe that has decided to relax during the day under my deck steps. This is rather usual, probably the same one for at least 2 years now. I have to check before I go out so as not to spook her.
This morning, a rather large hawk landed on a branch over the driveway. It was about the size of a red tail but did not have the red tail. Took off and flew about 4 feet above the ground through the woods.
Then the dogs needed to go out. As usual, when I am alone, Logan was on a lead. Up by the garage we both saw movement. Originally, I thought, "Just a deer." Nope. Wrong color. Large and black. Logan stopped in the middle of what we had come out to do. Fortunately, the bear seemed to be on a mission and continued his way down the driveway as I pulled Logan in and corralled Amber. She missed the show in that she was in another area by the house.
Whew.
Make it a great day!
