Greetings!

On Saturday, March 8th from 10:30am to noon the library celebrates Read Across America with a very special program called, "Horton Hears a Who-tenanny."

At this program families of children all ages are invited to participate in a variety of fun and interactive activities including: Red Jell-O Eggs snack that allows children the "hatch" their very own egg, "Pin the Trunk on Horton," "Guess the Item" where children will reach into bags to see if they can identify items from Dr. Seuss stories by touch, "Sound Matching Game" where children have to guess the matching sounds, a "Writing Station" where children can sign "Horton", and "Horton Play Dough" that children can explore using cookie cutters (each child will get a "hunk" to take home with some activities to use with the dough).

The library will have three special guests at the event as well. Marjorie Maddox and Philip Huber, local author and illustrator of the book "A Crossing of Zebras: Animal Packs in Poetry" will be at the event sharing their book with families and Dr. Don Hess will be providing musical entertainment as a strolling musician.
For more information, call the library at 323-7705 or visit the website at www.jvbrown.edu. No registration is required!
These events were made possible last year and are made possible this year through the continued support of K. Dianne Maki & Ravi Sethi
